Rumbo is the Spanish word for ‘course’ or ‘direction’…..

… a name that captures my mission to help families find their own way. Not through systems or standards, but through curiosity, connection and the quiet courage to choose differently.

I’m Rae - educator, traveller, home educating mama and founder of Rumbo. After years inside a system that didn’t nurture my children’s individuality or emotional growth, we chose to do things differently. We left the four walls of the classroom behind and stepped into a world where learning could unfold in gardens, kitchens, libraries, forests and faraway places. When we stepped away from the school system, I felt what many families do at the beginning: overwhelmed. Too many tabs open, too much advice, and nowhere to turn to that felt like home.

So I created the thing I needed most: a clear, welcoming hub for home educating and worldschooling families. A space where everything lives in one place - curated with care, rooted in real-world experience and shaped by the values that matter.
